A Quiet Corner
of the City

Urban Wind Haven starts from a plain observation: a busy day in the city goes better when there is somewhere to slow down that is not a gym, a clinic or a screen. We bring four everyday things together in Chuocho, Kagoshima: a yoga studio, a lounge for community evenings, a small café corner, and a room for lifestyle conversations.

Open a window, put the phone face-down, and let the day catch up with you.

The look we are aiming for is simple and calm: daylight, plants, natural materials, a few good chairs. The photographs on this site are illustrative images that show that mood. They are not pictures of our rooms, our events or our visitors, and they should not be read as such.

Please also note what we are not. We do not diagnose, treat or promise any health result. Classes and conversations are everyday wellbeing activities, and nothing on this site is medical advice. If you have an injury or a health condition, speak to your doctor before you take up new exercise.

If you cannot tell which of the four fits you, write or call. A short introductory chat is free, and nothing is booked or charged until you have the details in writing.

Lifestyle Consulting

One-to-one conversations about how you pace your week and which small habits could fit your life. This is coaching-style talk, not medical, psychological or therapeutic treatment, and it does not replace a doctor or counsellor. The first 30-minute chat is free; any further session is quoted in writing before it starts.

A few simple principles shape how we plan the classes, the events and the café counter. None of them is a technical claim; they describe the intention.

  • Natural materials first

Wood, stone, linen and plants over plastic and screens, wherever there is a choice.

  • A menu that follows the seasons

The café list changes through the year. Ask the counter about ingredients and allergens before you order.

  • Daylight and fresh air

Rooms are planned around daylight and ventilation rather than around screens and speakers.

  • Programme shaped by requests

Workshop and talk ideas follow what people ask for. Tell us what you would like to see.

  • Easy to find in the city

Chuocho is in central Kagoshima. Ask us for directions from your station or hotel when you write.

How a First Visit
Works

Four steps, at your own pace. Nothing is charged before you have the terms in writing.

01

Reach out

Call, email or use the enquiry form. Tell us which of the four areas interests you, and mention access needs or allergies if relevant.

02

Intro chat

A free 30-minute conversation, by phone or in person as agreed, about what you are looking for and what we can and cannot offer.

03

First visit

Try a class, join an evening or sit in the café. Date and any fee are confirmed in writing before you commit.

04

Regular use

Ask whether class passes or membership are available and what they would cost. Terms come in writing; you do not need membership to visit.

Questions We Expect

Is this a medical or therapy service?

No. Yoga classes, evenings in the lounge, the café counter and lifestyle conversations are everyday wellbeing activities. We do not diagnose or treat anything, and we do not promise results. See the Disclaimer for the longer version.

I have never done yoga. Is that a problem?

Beginners are welcome. Tell us about any injury, pregnancy or health condition when you ask, so that we can say honestly whether a given class suits you, and check with your doctor if you are unsure.

How much does it cost?

The intro chat is free. For everything else we do not publish a price list: you receive the fee, what it covers and the cancellation terms in writing before you agree. The legal details are on the Commercial Transactions Notice.

Can I book and pay online?

No. This website has no booking or payment system. The form sends us an enquiry, and we answer by email or phone during enquiry-desk hours.

What happens to the details I send?

The enquiry form passes your message through the relay service formsubmit.co to our mailbox. What we collect and why is explained in the Privacy Policy; if you prefer, call or email us directly instead of using the form.
